Amber also coaches and inspires high-achievers to transform their passions into executable ideas and content. \nPassionate about developing the next generation of decision-makers\, Amber serves on the Executive Board for non-profit organizations committed to promoting diverse representation and empowering women and girls across the globe. Thomas Professor of History and of African and African American Studies at Harvard University\, where she has been on the faculty since 1993 and has chaired both the Department of African and African American Studies (2006-2013) and the Department of History (2018-2020). \nHigginbotham is also the immediate past National President of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History\, which was founded in 1915 by Carter G.
